Fambul Tok facilitated the training of nominees for Community Welfare and Mediation Committee (CWMC) in Heremakonoh (ii) section, Sengbeh Chiefdom, Koinadugu District, northern Sierra Leone.
Pa Karifa Mansaray the host town chief on behalf of the section chief welcomed participants and expressed his commitment and the unshakable trust he has in Fambul Tok. “Since the intervention of FT in our community over the years, they have never lied to us,” he said.
FT Staff Issa Kamara and Hawa Conteh lead facilitation on peace-building skills, mediation, community reconciliation, communication skills, basic project management, leadership, transparency and accountability, active listening skills, community cohesion and values of FT and dos and don’ts of CWMC members.
The new CWMC executive members of Heremakonoh (ii) section inauguration ceremony was climaxed with singing, dancing and group photo.
The Sectional Mammy Queen, Manty Dabor thanked Fambul Tok in a special way on behalf of the women in the section, especially the Peace Mothers for unifying them as women.
CWMCs are part of Fambul Tok’s community structures that have been very instrumental in resolving conflicts in chiefdoms across Moyamba, Koinadugu, Kono, Kailahun, and Falaba districts.
