Fambul Tok team, in collaboration with African Transitional Justice Legacy Fund (ATJLF), facilitated community bonfire & #reconciliation in Mokorewa village, Njawa section in Fakunya chiefdom, #moyamba, southern #sierraleone on November 28/29, 2020.
500(200 men, 300 women) from all surrounding villages attended the bonfire. 25 confessions were made. Peace Mothers settled 21 cases and 4 matters shelved for later mediation. At day break the women poured libation to appease the ancestors, followed by prayers and celebrations. The next bonfire will happen at Tangea.
